Spanish Version of RoMEO Released
SHERPA Services is pleased to announce that a new Spanish language version of its RoMEO database is now available at:
The new version provides both the RoMEO interface and the existing RoMEO data itself in Spanish. Further data on Spanish and other Hispanic publishers will follow at a later date.
We are grateful to our colleagues in RECOLECTA for translating the original English into Spanish.
A Portuguese version of RoMEO was released in 2010, and SHERPA Services are working on further language versions for release in the future. Please contact us if you are interested in any specific languages and would like to help with translations.
RoMEO is the key database of publisher's open access policies, used worldwide by repository administrators and academics to check their right self-archiving their publications. RoMEO is currently funded by JISC. Journal information is kindly provided by: the British Library's Zetoc service hosted by MIMAS; DOAJ, a service from Lund University Libraries, and Entrez hosted by NCBI.
RECOLECTA is a joint initiative of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECyT) and the Network of University Libraries (REBIUN). RECOLECTA aims to encourage, support and coordinate the development of a cohesive network of digital repositories at the national level to promote open access, dissemination and preservation of the results of scientific research in Spain, and to develop services and features on the results of this investigation for researchers and the general public.
